2 months old!!!

Can you believe she is already 2 months old? Thing are going well and she is getting big. Not sure on her weight and length...we will be going to the pediatrician next Monday, July 7th. She is starting to smile a lot now and talk to us...with ooing and cooing (if she could talk she would say...more food please). lol. Yes, she is still a little piggy and is now eating 5 oz. every 3 1/2 hours during the day and 5 hours at night (thanks to this little helpful book called "On becoming Baby Wise"). So Brent and I are getting more sleep now. YAY!

She was baptised Sunday before last in a gorgeous dress her Grandma (Brent's Mom) made especially for her. Her and her cousin Marie were both baptised on Sunday, June 22 in Lafayette, LA at her Great Grandma's church. This is the same church her Grandma and Paw Paw Dooley were married in and her Daddy and Uncle Brandon were baptised in.

The day before her baptism, her Grandparents threw a welcoming party for her to be able to meet both Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins. Needless to say, she was held A LOT ...I don't think she was even put down once lol.

It was a little hard to go back to work but not too bad since I know she is in good hands with her MiMi (my Mom) taking care of her everyday.

On the subject of work.....I guess I better get some done :)

Hello everyone! Sorry I have not updated in awhile or been keeping in touch with family and friends like I should......I have been enjoying this time with this little girl and as you can imagine...she keeps us busy :) Things are wonderful (besides the eating every 2 hours at night thing lol) She went to the pediatrician last Friday for her 1 month check up (can you believe she is already a month old?!?!) and she is now weighing 9 lbs 10 oz and has grown an inch :) Her stump fell off 3 weeks from her day of birth, so she is now taking a real bath like a big girl and actually really likes them. She is also more alert these days but not quite interested in her toys yet.
I can also say that she's spoiled already, as she certainly likes to be held.....and her most favorite place to sleep is on her belly on Daddy's chest. :)

She is such an amazing little girl and truly a gift from God.

Hello All!
Everything is going very well. Amelia had her first bath and didn't appreciate it much :) She also had her first pediatrician appt day before yesterday and has gained an ounce since her discharge from the hospital on the 4th. So obviously she is nursing very well and a piggy like her Mommy :)


I now know how to upload pictures to this blog without having to bug Brent to do it...lol. So I will be posting a lot more pictures (this time I will keep them in order ha ha).

All we can say is WOW...she is utterly amazing.

It's a girl!!!

Sorry for the late post but things have been kind of hectic.

Yesterday couldn't have went any better. At 8:33 Amelia was born...7 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long. She and Angela are doing great and it looks like they will be discharged Sunday.
