Mom and I took Amelia to her first Gymboree class with other children her age. She had a GREAT time and met 3 little friends: Sam, Emily and Jake (who kept hugging and trying to kiss her....but she gave him the ole stiff arm.....atta girl). She participated in the class part pretty well and then played and played afterwards. She played so hard in fact that she passed out on the drive home while looking at her book and then let me get her out of the car then place her in her bed without waking up. She never does that! So, then after a long hour nap she decided she wanted a "crkr"....for all you translating amateurs....that means cracker. lol. Saturday was fun time at the park with Aaron, Rachel, Aubrey, Anderson and Averitt and Brandon, Sunni and Marie. Then home....lunch...pass out nap (for all of us this time lol).
As for Monday, I took off work and Amelia and I went to pick Daddy up for lunch at Newk's and then LiLi girl and I headed over to the park for some play time. She is such a little daredevil! She laughed on the swing....that was fun for a little while....she rode the little bouncy horse for a little while....that was fun too. But, once she discovered the slide...OMG..that was the thing! She would climb the steps by herself repeating, "Good girl...good girl" over and over with me standing behind her of course(only 5 foot tall slide if that). I would make her sit on her bottom as she scooted it to slide down by herself. You see, when I rode down with her...she didn't care for that too much....she arched her back in protest. She wanted to slide down by herself...and she did....several times. lol. She is so amazing to me.

Amelia did the neatest thing....she pointed at her potty and said, "puh puh". So MiMi asked her, "Do you need to go potty baby"? She sat her on it and she tee teed right away! What a big girl she is! She usually tee tees in her potty at least 4-5 times a day :)
Wow, can you tell I am a Mom with all the tee tees and potty talk. Hee hee...did I mention I love being one? ;)

So the other day, Amelia shut herself in the laundry room and started to cry...so Daddy carefully opened the door and said, "Well....you did it" and she responded in a cry voice, "III DIDD ITT". We laughed so hard.
She is now doing the walk-waddle-run all over the house with a smile on her face...amazed how much quicker she can get around by walking rather than crawling...crawling is old news. :)
She still eats whatever you put in front of her and a lot of it! She is worse than the dogs about begging for food, and like her Daddy, LOVES bread. She can now say bread (bed) while pointing at it and following it up with please (blleazze). You literally can only tear her off a little of her wheat bread at a time with her dinner because she will eat that first....shoving every piece into her mouth at the same time. lol So just to clarify her food hierarchy:
Bread
Vegetables (any)
Fruit
Legumes
Meat
So just in case you wanted to know that...there ya go :) Speaking of "Go"....Amelia always wants to GO she will say, "Go Go" and point either to the front or back door :) And, if you say, "No baby it is too hot outside" she will try the "blleazze". If that doesn't work she will start to fuss. :)
Growing up too fast I tell ya

13 months old
Our dear Amelia is now 13 months old! She is barely officially walking..although if she does fall down....she gets mighty upset with herself. She is still climbing on anything she comes in contact with, standing on top of things and loves to be outside. She loves her little pool but is a little bit of a wuss (okay a big one) if you barely splash her or sprinkle her with the water hose.
Although she is a brave, adventurous little gal she is a sensitive little gal.
She is pointing at everything asking, "daaat" and tries to say what you say although some things she says only a mommy, daddy and mimi can understand: Daddy, Mommy, Dawg (dog), Dorwa (Dora), caat, AHH (eye), doe-s (nose), bAlaze (please), gawn (gone), shoooe (shoe), baa paa (back pack), booo (moo), ga-eeen (Green), taannk (thank you), cocck (clock) and her favorite is UHHHOHHH...of course before she "accidentally drops" something. It is hilarious to hear her talk or try to anyways :)
She started a water baby class at the YMCA and she really enjoys the class except for the length...it is 50 minutes and she really likes it for about 30 minutes and tolerates the last 20. She likes the instructor except when she partially dunks her. lol.
She is still really really liking DORA and has started dancing at the part in Dora in the end when they dance....and let me tell ya..the knee bounce dance is sooo cute. (She must have picked up on daddy's signature dance) :) She will also dance if you ask her to or if you start dancing yourself.
Anyways, that is all I can think of right now that she is doing new...new updates soon.
