Hello everyone! Sorry I have not updated in awhile or been keeping in touch with family and friends like I should......I have been enjoying this time with this little girl and as you can imagine...she keeps us busy :) Things are wonderful (besides the eating every 2 hours at night thing lol) She went to the pediatrician last Friday for her 1 month check up (can you believe she is already a month old?!?!) and she is now weighing 9 lbs 10 oz and has grown an inch :) Her stump fell off 3 weeks from her day of birth, so she is now taking a real bath like a big girl and actually really likes them. She is also more alert these days but not quite interested in her toys yet.
I can also say that she's spoiled already, as she certainly likes to be held.....and her most favorite place to sleep is on her belly on Daddy's chest. :)

She is such an amazing little girl and truly a gift from God.

Hello All!
Everything is going very well. Amelia had her first bath and didn't appreciate it much :) She also had her first pediatrician appt day before yesterday and has gained an ounce since her discharge from the hospital on the 4th. So obviously she is nursing very well and a piggy like her Mommy :)


I now know how to upload pictures to this blog without having to bug Brent to do it...lol. So I will be posting a lot more pictures (this time I will keep them in order ha ha).

All we can say is WOW...she is utterly amazing.

It's a girl!!!

Sorry for the late post but things have been kind of hectic.

Yesterday couldn't have went any better. At 8:33 Amelia was born...7 pounds 4 ounces and 20 inches long. She and Angela are doing great and it looks like they will be discharged Sunday.

Thanks for all of the cards and messages I'm sure we will be talking to everyone soon...

Having a baby :)

Hello all! Just wanted everyone to know I will be delivering our baby Amelia Michele Dooley this Thursday May 1, at 8:00 am and Brent and I are beside ourselves with excitement :)

This is the easiest way to keep everyone informed on what is going on...if we have internet access.

Also, for anyone planning on coming to the hospital...we will be at:

Labor and Delivery (3rd floor)

Shreveport, LA 71101

Not sure on the room number yet....we will post it on the blog as soon as we know.

I am just starting this blog...trying it out in preparation of Amelia's arrival. This will be a good way to keep all family and friends updated on the (painful) :) events leading up to her birth and wonderful events in her life. Keep you posted hehehe
